I think that more companies should be looking for alternative energy sources. This makes sense for global warming and for national security to be less dependant on oil. I like the prospects of hydrogen fuel cells, solar energy, wind energy, and other renewable energy sources as a step toward helping reduce global warming. They say the coal power plants in US and China are a big cause. If there is a cleaner and cheaper alternative then more countries will build more of these type of power plants.

5.The United States is committed to reducing the greenhouse gas intensity of the American economy by 18 percent over the 10-year period from 2002 to 2012. This initiative puts America on a path to slow the growth of greenhouse gas emissions, and -- as the science supports -- to stop, and then reverse that growth.

1. Glacier melting, water rising, CO2 amounts in the atmosphere, pollution on a global imbalance, Species endangerment,
2. We are already seeing these effects around the world.
3. CO2 emissions, due to many problems, cutting down forest in global countries, building of coal or fossil fuel power plants with no checks or balance to the environment, the demand on foreign good by Americans all contribute to the Global problems.
3. Human behavior can make the greatest change simple efforts
Carpool, find new solutions for energy, use less foreign items, and recycle recycle.

1. The possible effects of global warming in our country in the future are that earth will heat up and may cause droughts.

2. We expect these effects because the earth is heating up and can evaporate the water.

3. Global warming can be reduced by using cars less to shorten the amount of carbon in the air and we can plant more trees that take in the carbon and turn it into oxygen. Man is responsible for Global Warming.

4. Need is an organization that care about the environment and so is the Lexis Program.

5. Actions we have taken to help is when the government made "The Clean Air Act."

6. We hurt ourselves by hurting the environment, when we pollute our water it cost money to purify it.

2. the climate has been increasing around the world
3. global warming can be reduced by using cars less and using other transportation devices such as bikes. humans are the main source of this proplem.
4. need and lexus
5. change a bulb save a world and we made a comic strip about crisis in our world
6. we can recycle more and use incondesent lightbulbs and we can also pick up trash on the side of the road.

1. The possible effects of global warming in our country in the future are the effects of landscapes around the world. Coasts in Alaska are melting away into the ocean and animals are loosing there habitat. Other effects are population sizes, growth rates, timing of plant flowering, and timing of animal migration.
2. The reason we are expecting these effects are because global warming emits heat trapping gases produced by vehicles, power plants, industrial processes and deforestation. All these gases in the world build up and form a blanket.
3. Ways we can help reduce global warming are we can recycle more and we can get the community involved in projects done by our science club. Another major thing we can do is reduce the amount of trees being cut down and reduce the amount of heat and air conditioning being used in you house. The people that help do these things are simply clubs and people in different communities. Industries all over the world and groups also get together and make a huge impact too.
4. Some groups that seem to care about global warming and want to do something to tackle the problem are the saint margaret catholic science club, the Natural Resources Defense Council, and wildlife federations around the world.
5. The government has tried to help reduce the global warming in the world by pushing laws such as the Clean Air Act.
6. Ways we can do stuff to help as individuals is by recycling, buy energy efficient products, use less cooling and heating products, drive less and drive smart, plant a tree, and encourage others to conserve.

1.) The possible effects of global warming in our country in the future is hotter weather, drastic weather changes, decreasing of population and/or animals and plants.

2.) The reasons we expect these changes are due to the recent updates from the news.

3.) Ways we can reduce possible global warming is to Recycle, use less heat and air conditioning, use CFL bulbs, drive less, buy energy efficient products, use less hot water, turn the lights off more often, plant trees, and encourage others to conserve things.

4.) Groups that seem to care about global warming and want do something to tackle the problem are St.Margaret Science Club, Natural Resource Defense Council, and the Environmental Protection Agency.

5.) Actions that have already been taken by the government in our country is the Clean Air Act.

6.) Some actions that we as citizens are preparing to take as individuals are recycling, driving less, reusing, turning off the lights, using less hot water, and most importantly, encouraging others to do so.

1. The effects of global warming include an increase in water level of the ocean because large chunks of ice will start to melt causing rise in ocean.
2. We expect these reasons because the ozone is being damaged causing the earth to heat.
3. We can reduce global warming by recycling, using less fossil fuel, and car pooling. I belive that the common person is resposible for taking part in the clean up of our earth.
4. People who care about stoppig global warming are the WWF and St. Margret catholic school.
5. Some actions used to stop this problem are recycling and producing more fuel efficeint cars
6. You could change a buld to save energy or recycle or carpool.

1. the effects are maybe warmer winters and i think maybe warmer summers.

2. Car emmissions factory emissions and plant emmisions.

3. i think if the factory output of pollution is controlled it would be a lot less poluted. the factories are prolly the most responsible.

4. the EPA (enviromental prtection agency)cares the most i think

5. lowering the output on car exaust and factory pollution.

6. car pull and turn off the lights when not in use :D

1. Hotter temperatures, water heating and rising, and glaciers and ice caps melting.

2. We execpt these effects because they have already started to occur.

3. We can recycle more, change to CFC lightbulbs, reduce amount of trees being cut down and driving less. We are the ones responsible for it and the ones to help reduce it.

4. NEED, our school, and Scholastics, which we have joined with.

5. The Clean Air Act, using less oil and fossil fuels, and lowering greenhouse gases.

6. We can recycle, invovle others in our projects, and pick up trash.

1. That maybe all the ice on the earth's poles will melt causing ocean and sea levels to rise, and decreasing the amount of land structures on the planet for some time.

2. Through the past years most people and scientists have seen the major increase in temperature that enabled me to make my prediction about what will happen in the future because of global warming.

3. A few ways that we can either prevent or lessen the effects of global warming is by reducing emmitions, reducing greenhouse gases, and try our best to find other cleaner ways of producing energy, and find a way to master and use our best source of energy the sun.

4. There are many groups in our own country that are trying very hard to either stop reduce global warming, but even though I don't know very many at all I know for a fact that my school has played a significant roll ing reducing global warming.

5. There have been many people and actions that have gone to try and reduce global warming, and some of the actions that have taken place are more frequently using buses istead of individually driving, changing the types of power plants we use, and setting laws protecting certain things.

6. Some of the actions people would be willing to individually take are chopping down fewwer trees, taking buses more often, and using less gasoling and other fossil fuels.

1. If we don't stop carbon monoxide from escaping into the atmosphere the world may get hotter
2. Because we use lawnmowers almost every week in the summer. And lawnmowers give off as much carbon monoxide as 43 later model cars drivin 12,000 miles a year
3. If we put catalytic converters on lawnmowers it will take all of the carbon monoxide and turn it into carbon dioxide and water.
4.School and scolastics
5. The Clean Air Act
6. Recycle and walk or ride a bike instead of taking a car and polluting the air

#1: 1. Rising temperatures, 2. Pollutes air, 3. More hurricanes, 4. Lung-related illnesses

#2: 1. The emissions of carbon dioxide will raise the temperature. 2. The harmful greenhouse gases that we emit are trapped in our atmosphere and in our air, which pollutes it. 3. The rise of temperature affects the jetstream and El Nino weather patterns, therefore increasing the chances of more numerous and stronger hurricanes. 4. If the air that we breathe is polluted, our lungs will be forced to inhale the polluted air, making us sick.

1 The possible effects of global warming in our country in the future include: more humans living in todays world, which means more CO2 released, and the need for more transportation

2 The reasons we expect these effects are: with the increase in development of medicine more lives are saved and that means more transportation and breathing

3 These are the ways that we think the problem of global warming can be reduced, and who we think should be most responsible: the transportation business can make more biodiesel vehicles

4 In our country we have identified the following groups that seem to care about global warming and want to do something to tackle the problem: the NEED program, Al Gore, and St. Margaret Catholic School

5 These are some of the actions that have already been taken by the government in our country to tackle the problem: the Clean Air Act of 1990

6 These are some of the actions we would be prepared to take as individuals: we can recycle, carpool, and participate in the Change a Bulb Save the World

I found this interesting about how lawyers are going to find global warming a new source of income:

From USA TODAY 2/26/08:

A tiny Alaska village eroding into the Arctic Ocean sued two dozen oil, power and coal companies Tuesday, claiming that the large amounts of greenhouse gases they emit contribute to global warming that threatens the community's existence.
The city of Kivalina and a federally recognized tribe, the Alaska Native village of Kivalina, sued ExxonMobil, eight other oil companies, 14 power companies and one coal company in a lawsuit filed in federal court in San Francisco.

Kivalina is a traditional Inupiat Eskimo village of about 390 people about 625 miles northwest of Anchorage. It is built on an 8-mile barrier reef between the Chukchi Sea and Kivalina River.

Sea ice traditionally protected the community, whose economy is based in part on salmon fishing plus subsistence hunting of whale, seal, walrus, and caribou. But sea ice that forms later and melts sooner because of higher temperatures has left the community unprotected from fall and winter storm waves and surges that lash coastal communities.

"We are seeing accelerated erosion because of the loss of sea ice," City Administrator Janet Mitchell said in a statement. "We normally have ice starting in October, but now we have open water even into December so our island is not protected from the storms."
